Budsie Gets Veterinary Care and
New Leash on Life
Auntie LV is homeless and living in Waimanalo with her only companion, Budsie. Like many animals living with their owners on the beach, Budsie got loose one day and was hit by a car. Luckily for Auntie, a compassionate passerby, Jackie, stopped to offer assistance. With her kokua, Budsie was rushed to emergency for medical attention and thankfully survived the ordeal. To avoid another accident, Jackie bought Budsie a body harness
and lengthy tether so Auntie can keep him safe by her side.
But Budsie needed more help. PDP was able to pay for Budsie's sterilization surgery and an overall health check including medication for his infected ears. He also received a microchip, flea/tick treatment, vaccinations, teeth cleaning, and nail cutting. Living on the beach with Auntie LV is a tough life. So PDP provides Auntie LV with dry and wet dog food to ensure that Budsie never goes hungry.
Mahalo to our sponsors for helping to pay for Budsie's veterinary care (valued at $600) and Petco for helping to provide dog food.
